Error Saat Startup

Kesalahan Error saat starup, Dalam analisa error sendiri kita setidaknya mengetahui kerusakan dasar apa yang terjadi., berikut ini analisa umum error saat starup melalui identifikasi bunyi “bip” dan pesan kesalahan pada layar komputer.

Mengindentifikasi Suara “bip”.

Saat komputer dihidupkan, BIOS melakukan POST. Hal ini  diperlukan untuk memastikan bahwa sistem dapat berfungsi sebagaimana mestinya dan juga mencari informasi mengenai hardware apa saja yang ada pada komputer. Saat BIOS mendeteksi ada masalah saat POST, BIOS akan mengirim pesan kesalahan (error message). Pada beberapa kasus, masalah tersebut dapat dideteksi lebih awal sehingga BIOS tidak dapat mengakses video card dan tidak dapat menampilkan pesan kesalahan tersebut. Jika seperti ini yang terjadi, BIOS akan mengeluarkan suara ‘bip’ yang memiliki pola tertentu yang sesuai dengan kesalahan yang diidentifikasinya. Suara ‘bip’ tunggal saat proses booting setelah tampilnya pesan startup pada monitor adalah normal dan tidak ada kegagalan. ‘Bip’ yang dimaksud di sini adalah yang dihasilkan pada saat prosedur POST belum selesai dan belum ada informasi apapun yang ditampilkan pada layar. Kode ‘bip’ dari BIOS ini bergantung dari tipe dan versi dari BIOS yang Anda miliki. Yang  paling umum adalah AMI dan Award BIOS.

Transfer a License of SolidWorks to a New Computer

Below are the steps and some screen shots on how to move a license and how to modify your existing SW serial number if necessary. It should only take about 5 minuntes to complete this task.
1. Launch SolidWorks on the current computer you want to change.
2. Go to the Help menu and transfer the SW activation on that machine back to the SolidWorks product activation server

Surfacing Tutorial: Watering Can

I haven’t done much technical how-to yet on this blog, so I guess it’s time for a surfacing tutorial. Folks ask for this sort of stuff, and there is precious little on the web that actually has step by step instructions for this sort of modeling.

So  to a 14 page PDF tutorial with sketch picture images and a final part to use as reference.

I hope you get some usefulness out of this. Please comment back here if you find problems with the text or procedure.

Below is shown a photograph of an actual product as well as a screen shot from the SolidWorks window. The tutorial works best with SolidWorks 2007 due to some splines improvements, but will also work with previous versions although I haven’t tried that. The sample part is SW07.
